How to reuse an old canvas.
. Clean the surface.
. Apply gesso vertically.
. Apply the second layer in opposite direction.
. If you want a smooth surface, rub with a sand paper once dried.
. You can also use black gesso instead, if you want a black canvas.
. Your canvas is ready to use.
* Gesso can also be used to prime a plain canvas ( only if the canvas you bought is unprimed. Most of the canvas comes primed and in ready to use forms).
