This week's Mixmag lab guarantees to be a musical master class as two truly fantastic producers, both of whom are playing Eastern Electrics Festival, step up to the plate.

Guy Gerber has been responsible for making some of the most gripping, melodic and dance floor driven beats for over a decade. This was epitomized in his Fabric 64 mix and even more recently in his latest track 'Claire' which you can listen to here.

We also welcome the fantastic Francesca Lombardo. Having played alongside artists such as Sven Väth, Agoria and Tobi Neumann, and having recently released on the prolific Crosstown Rebels, her set guarantees to join the dots between house and techno to full effect. I love Francesca, she is killing it!!  Really this is very visual for me, reminds me of the craziness of the late 80's, everything coming on at once & pulsating in your body & you just gotta keep on grooving even though it's been 10 hours, you just can't stop your body because your soul has taken over.  Have any of you even experienced the 80's, or even the 90's at all?  sad, very sad....

OK, more thoughts, I am it's like when you enter the warehouse venue in downtown LA, descend down the dark stairs as you see lights flashing at the end of the dark hallway that is twisting and pulsing to the music as the intense bass penetrates your body and shakes up all your insides as you descend further, but at the same time you are ascending into the basement and see many colors of flashing lights & trails of green & purple glow sticks as people twirl them like dance assassins or ninjas. People crowd the large dance floor, bodies co-existing with each other, aware of the lineal space that divides us & keeps us together, as the energy surges, pulses & flows into our bodies as one, the music sets us all free, without saying a word, transcendence is reached as we all start floating, rising above the bodies that contain us, flowing into the atmosphere.  This is what this set makes me feel & this is my 2nd time listening to it in 1 day. So if you don't understand any of that, then I feel sorry for this world we live in today!  Francesca Rules the Turntables Right NOW!!  I just wish I could go back to 1990 in LA!
