Short personal clips of flying the Cirrus Aircraft SF50 Vision Jet

Back in May 2021 I was lucky enough to go through Vision Jet type training. It was a lot of fun. It’s been really exciting to personally learn new things in aviation. The reward and “treat” of the training was the mentor trip that we went on. It was 25 hours of flying around and picking some fun places on the map. We flew all the way from TYS - OWB - MKC - ABQ - HND - SBA - SMO - CRQ - PSP - SMO - SBA - TEX - PUB - PWK - TYS. It was an incredible trip.

I thought I’d take some of the clips I filmed and share them with you. They are just put together randomly in no particular order. You can jump around as you’d like!

Please enjoy and leave a comment on anything you feel you want to learn more about! I’ll try and grab a video of it next time I am up!

Very cool! At 10:58 mark, I notice you’re starting up and doing the after start checklist. I see that you did it as a step by step DO list! May I suggest for all regimes of flying, you develop flow patterns to DO things, then you use your checklist, to check that you did everything. Always something to learn👍🏻. Excellent video and also I like hearing the surrounding sounds rather than music. Beautiful jet and very impressive. Great job!

Can the rail system for the seats be used to mount different things? For example, could someone have some nice tie downs so a dog carrier could be anchor, or other cargo? Could a person buy different seats and alter the configuration of their vision jet according to the needs of that trip? ie take out the executive seats and put in the full set, or remove all the seats and just carry cargo?

To prevent misunderstandings, I like the CJ. But that is the main problem with the CJ, only going up to 31.000feet. Weather is getting challenging more and more. And you need 39.000 feet in a jet like this. That would hit the nail. Besides that awesome unique jet.

I love your videos. I just saw the scorecard video for the SR22T. I fly one too and was wondering if you could go over the VNAV and it’s applications. I’m instrument rated but have trouble sometimes figuring out VNAV. Thanks!

For those of you who can't afford to fly a Vision Jet like me - pick it up in Microsoft Flight Simulator and enjoy! It's an awesome aircraft. I love to fly it through the virtual skies in Virtual Reality. Many gretings from Germany, 🙋
