Wonderful advice. I do one hour walking between 10-11 (for vitamin D) and another one hour before sun set. I also do half hour walk after my dinner around my house. I do a total 20, 000 steps. I am 65 years old. My diabetic has disappeared.

Super! So the best times to walk are 7:00 a.m. to 10:a.m., and 4:00p.m. to sunset. A short brisk walk post lunch is good. Walking as an exercise is best avoided early morning, betweem 11:00 a.m. to 4:00p.m. and post sun-set. 8000 to 10000 steps is a super distance/exrcise to aim for. Keeping in mind our age and physical ability, I suppose!

I think for this to be applicable to people around the world, it should be summarised as follows:
- walk when the sun is up but aim for when it's not the hottest ie early morning or late evening
- walk in least polluted areas
- light walks after meals

This was interesting. I walk daily for around 30 mins in the mornings between 7am and 10am. It is so relaxing and refreshing and is a low-impact way for me to get my exercise.

Other than Yoga, when Hansa ben goes in to speak about other topics, I take it with a pinch of salt. With due respects, this one on "when to go for a walk" is one such that I will largely ignore! 🙏

I thank you for all your wisdom and your health that you share with us. However I live in the Southwest desert and I've got to get out early so I think walking some it's better than not walking at all it just can't be perfect

One should walk when they can. Restrictions will make people lazy to exercise. Do what works for you!

For those who get time to walk while some one does your household chores, consider yourself lucky. Those who are not able to go out for an early morning walk due to household chores you don't have to worry, you never know how many miles you would have walked in between rooms at home during the day.

I have a kind of walk that I call my 'happy walking'. I have found that walking in a happy mood is not tiring and without even thinking about it my walking speed increases. I can walk for 2 hours easily without feeling tired. Being happy while walking adds a spring into your step. A person once commented to me that he had never seen anyone walk as fast as I do.

This advice seems very specific to a particular geographic location ie hot and polluted area
