Показать описание
Glamping in Kyrgyzstan? Indeed, if one is looking for something a bit more comfortable staying overnight in a luxury yurt is possible at Sumpara Chunkurchak resort located only 40 kilometers south of Bishkek. After doing our share of hiking, horse-trekking and other adventure travel in Kyrgyzstan coming to Supara Chunkurchak was a welcome stop near the end of our trip in Kyrgyzstan.
Our luxury yurt had breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks off in the distance from Chunkurchak tract. Visitors can relax and enjoy local food along with kymyz and for those seeking more adventure hiking and horse trekking programs are available. We decided to do a bit of our own hiking and droning with the rest of the time spent enjoying the resort. If you're interested in visiting all of the information you'll need is below:

🌄 Luxury Yurt Experience at Supara Chunkurchak: Full Property Tour, Mountain Views & Kyrgyz Breakfast
Welcome to Supara Chunkurchak: Our Kyrgyz Glamping Retreat
Good morning, good morning! In today’s video, we’re coming to you from the breathtaking Supara Chunkurchak in Kyrgyzstan, where we’re indulging in a luxury yurt stay to wind down our travels. After weeks of rugged adventures, mountain treks, and exploring the wild outdoors, we decided to pamper ourselves with a bit of “glamping” surrounded by the magnificent Kyrgyz mountains and dense forests. This video is all about our full experience at Supara Chunkurchak: from a delicious local breakfast to a personal yurt tour, a morning hike and drone session, and even a look at the on-site amenities that make this retreat so special. Whether you’re looking for inspiration for your next Central Asia trip or want to see what luxury yurts are really like, you’re in for a treat!
🥐 Breakfast with a View: Kyrgyz Delicacies in the Mother Yurt
We start our day with an easy stroll past rows of unique yurts (we’re in number five!) heading to the “Mother Station”—the main yurt, or as we call it, the Mother Ship. Breakfast is a buffet spread, and the highlights are the freshly churned cream and local Kyrgyz honey, which has a distinctive floral note and is easily the best honey we’ve ever tasted. There’s also plenty of bread, nuts, jams, cheese, and fresh fruit. Sam goes for the classic bread, cream, and honey combo, while Audrey starts with a salad plate and fruit, planning to enjoy some porridge and more of that irresistible honey on bread. The atmosphere in the main yurt is warm and welcoming, with panoramic mountain views through every window—a truly magical way to start the day in Kyrgyzstan.
🥾 Morning Hike: Solo Mission for Mountain Views & Drone Shots
After breakfast, Sam embarks on a solo hiking adventure to take in the mountain scenery and grab some epic drone footage. With clear blue skies and the crisp summer air, he explores a series of winding trails—one path leading into the forest, another into the sun—eventually finding a perfect overlook above the yurts and the valley. The highlight is getting the drone airborne to capture sweeping shots of the snow-capped peaks and tree-lined slopes.
🛖 Yurt Tour: Inside Our Luxury Kyrgyz Accommodation
Next up is a full yurt tour. Entering through a cozy foyer with space for shoes, jackets, and even an umbrella (fancy!), we pass the first of two bathrooms—rare for yurt stays, where you usually need to venture outside to an outhouse! Upstairs is the main living space, featuring a wood-burning stove (not needed in July!), AC for hot days, and beds for up to three people.
🚿 Private Bathroom & Glamping Comforts
Our yurt features a modern, private bathroom with a hot shower, sink, and even a blowdryer—luxuries you rarely find at traditional yurt camps. The creative use of tree branches as door handles adds a rustic touch. Floor-to-ceiling windows in every room offer unbeatable views of the mountains and forests, whether you’re working, relaxing, or getting ready for the day. This is glamping at its finest: all the romance of yurt life, none of the discomfort!
🌲 Guided Walks, Horse Treks & Kumis Tasting: Supara Activities
Beyond relaxing and hiking, Supara Chunkurchak offers guests a range of guided walks through the forest, as well as horseback trekking for those seeking adventure. One unique wellness option is their “kumis program”—multiple daily servings of fermented mare’s milk, believed to offer health benefits. We politely declined (the salty, sour taste isn’t for us!), but it’s a unique local experience for the curious.
