I found an abandoned steam locomotive in the woods, it started to speak to me. It told me stories from long ago I told it about cell phones and the internet. We share a deep connection, it's like a great grandfather to me. I've been reading lots of train books and doing research, maybe one day I'll be able to restore it. I made a promise to it that I'll restore it and it will pull freight trains again.

Now that is so cool, believe it or not this thing can be turned into living facility and it can have electricity and water and it would be great to.there use to be a show on TV that l use to watch it's was called, you live in what.this show showed people living in a church, old restaurant, old gas station, old fire station and even a old jet.l have been watching your videos and I like them.

The reason of why it’s up here is becuase mdot (Michigan department of transportation) built a commuter train called the mi-train but it was never completed so they got rid of their old ex-metra cars

Hello train person here* this could of been from the BN train that struck a person, these are metro cars so yes they are from the Chicago area. Was there an engine? If so please tell me and get the number bc it might of been that incident

This is most likely a deadline train, most likely there is mechanical problems in these cars so metra had a locomotive leave them here for storage.

Every train I’ve found the doors are locked, but you can always push up on the windows from the outside and crawl in

I knew exactly where this. TRain Is. Its in a small town called. Yumma Michigan. Sadly it has been scraped away 😰

This train was originally from Chicago!
Michigan department of transportation (MDOT) bought these cars for commuter rail service in Michigan.
The original plan was for the trains to run from metro Detroit, into traverse city.
Unfortunately when they bought these, they didn’t realize there wasn’t an open rail line they could feasibly operate on, nor could they get funding.
The idea was scrapped for many years, until 2017 when a new proposal was announced, in partnership with Great Lakes Central Railroad (GLC)
All of these cars are owned by GLC, and some are in Owosso, Michigan. Some of them still work, and are pulled behind the Pere Marquette 1225 (aka polar express)
It is unclear if these cars will ever be used again, but maybe one day.
As for the cars in Owosso, most of them are being sold to private buyers, while some are going to be used for the new proposal, and on GLC business trains.

I always been wondering this. Why do train companies. More specifically fright train companies just ditch their fright cars? I live in Woodstock Ontario and at the via rail station there’s a siding with one friend car just sitting there. It looks like it’s been sitting as long as this car
