I really wasn't sure on first listen. I love a soft sad song but this was a little low impact for me. However, since then I have fallen in love with it fully. It is so beautiful, and so well sung. I think it's good when host countries send something strong but not competitive (like Portugal 2018).

Switzerland, again, giving a lesson of musicality to joke entries. And furthermore, they really make an effort to give quality eventhough they're hosting. Some should learn about this respect this country's public broadcaster has for its own invention called ESC. Thanks Switzerland !

I personally interpret the lyrics as being about growing up with stifling or even abusive parents, you keep loving them no matter what they do because that's all you have. I really wish I understood french because I'd like to just get the meaning without having to have it translated for me

It's really cute and as you've said, this is a fresh breath of air and I will surely enjoy the live performance. But looking at the competition it's more in the midtable for me personally. Love it tho!
