We have seen many projectors over the years. And many promises of AI tools. But can the Nexigo TriVision Ultra deliver on these promises, and will Linus' vision survive?

Purchases made through some store links may provide some compensation to Linus Media Group.

Not having any of the major streaming options on the remote is a MAJOR plus!!!

Wouldn't mind seeing a LTT video about projectors for different price ranges. Like one low price/budget, mid-grade and "best" selections. At least from my friend group there's been a lot of interest in replacing TV's with a projector for various reasons, but don't really know enough to pull the trigger.

Props for calling out and updating the input lag thing. Sounds like a healthy attitude for a sponsored video

I don't know man, projectors with no "AI" used to have those features until companies started spitting and sticking "AI" sticky notes on their products

I appreciate that, despite being a sponsored video, Linus was able to be critical about the AI stuff. Makes me trust the company way more

Well at least Linus is not breaking the law in his sponsored videos 😅😘

I do appreciate how they did not go with some smart UI BS with whatever bloatware heavy junk they could've like Samsung and all the other TV makers are doing these days. Allowing the user to simply put a firestick or chromecast or whatever else in there is certainly a much better solution. At least you can always update your stick it if it inevitably loses supports in a few years and the built-in youtube app starts taking 5 business days to respond or the netflix app simply refuses to open.

At least this felt a little less like a commercial and a little more like a first impression. And shortcircuit does these types of sponsored stuff often.

12:52 you can very clearly see the rainbow effect here in cs. i don't know if its as bad in person but in fast moving scenes its very noticeable to the camera.

Wasnt there protective film over the lens, except for the last part of this video?

Looks like there is a tab for plastic film on the front of the projector that hasn't been removed. Do I even see some air bubbles under it too? I can't tell if that is a film or reflection or what. If that is covering the sensor array for the keystone detection etc that could be throwing it off for sure.

That built in cable being a micro USB seems like an oversight.

Having no AI is more of a selling point for me than having it.

Hey LTT team, could you do a video on Assisted Listening servers? Like the ListenEverywhere or the AudioFetch express? Maybe even come up with a diy solution?

You could even use these in the badminton center.

The embedded Fire Stick is really smart to avoid obsolescence!

Trust me, Projector enthusiasts love to adjust and align their stuff. We don't want A.I. to do that for us.

Couple things to note after I receive my unit that are bit off in this video.

Linus says that the feet don’t adjust and then uses a folder. The feet do adjust. They look very permanently set to the unit out of the box, and do actually turn to extend out.

The operating system on the released unit I received looks the same but a bit more simplified and cut down. All the major options are there, but I don’t have a super bright mode with that warning.

Linus says it is 2600 lumens but it is actually 2600 ANSI; which converts to 6240 lumens of total brightness

Not sure extreme important this, but this has to play a bit of a quality distortion. Linus is testing this unit without removing the protective layer of plastic over the lenses. You can see the white pull tab on the right side when you see the projector lens on screen. Considering the DLP and Tri-LED-Laser projecting this could completely cause clarity or rainbow effects. On my previous 1080p projector the protective lens film I didn’t notice made a big difference when I remove it. I can’t say with my unit because I immediately removed it before I set it up.

Linus said it supported a Max projection size of 150”; which, is at a 13.88ft distance. It lists a supported 300” projection at 27.67ft. What Nexigo does say is that they recommend these sizes and distances for the best projection experience; they say, between 80” at 7.55ft and all distances to 150” at 13.88ft.

The Blacks are subjective to your setup environment. But for what I noticed, they out of box setting are too extremely bright. There is a lot of settings to adjust black levels; but again, your environment will change this user to user especially with the 6240 lumen brightness set to high out of the box.

Lastly and to add on to the above, Nexigo recommends specifically for this Long Throw Projector to use either a Matte White Screen or a Plain White Wall for the best results. I am currently using a plain white wall and due to the brightness of this projector I feel that it makes the slight texturized wall way more noticeable from my last projector. I like to spent time with a projector before I decide on a permanent place, deciding the final size, and the additional accessories I need to buy. So after using it I just new I needed a screen because where I use it the wall are to glossy and the texture is now noticeable. I was considering a white or grey screen but reflective. After seeing Nexigo say Matte White, I am glad I haven’t made a purchase yet and I am now looking for a Matte Screen. This makes perfect sense because this thing is bright, and the light bleed is real for sure!

Might want to be clearer that you have to manually disable Keystone in order to have the lower latency, again it's inferred, but not explicitly stated.

2:25 good god I'm happy to not see a big intrusive netflix button!

It's disappointing they only used a tri-LED laser, they should've used a quad-OLED laser.
