Another excellent video, Slava. I'm getting to know Russia better all the time thanks to you and other vloggers in Russia. You mentioned a city named Murmansk. I hadn't heard of it, so I looked it up to see that it's the largest city in the Arctic Circle. And it looks like a very interesting city. If you haven't already given us a tour of Murmansk, perhaps you can add it to your list.

I drive a dump truck in Wisconsin. One-year experience. $21 @ hour. After state and federal taxes, plus healthcare insurance deduction, my take-home pay is $2, 240 @ month. That’s without overtime. I am typically laid-off from work during January and February. I do qualify for $370 @ week, for eight weeks, in unemployment benefits when I’m not driving. My rent is $750 for a one-bedroom apartment, heat and water included. I drive a 2006 Honda CR-V that has 240, 000 miles on it. Gasoline is currently $3.39 @ gallon where I live, and that’s about 20 miles from where I work.

I am an IT consultant in the UK and earn $5, 400 a month after tax. That sounds a lot but I live near London and the cost of living is very high. My wife is an administrator for a large company and earns $2, 700 after tax. Unlike the Yanks we do get healthcare that is free at the point of delivery and groceries are quite a bit cheaper than in the US, though petrol (gasoline) is a LOT more expensive.

I am a Filipino and very pleased with this video. I was amazed that such opportunities exist in Russia. Almost all of 30 years of my job stints as an accountant were in the Philippines and abroad, a big part of which was in the Middle East and Africa. None of these job opportunities were advertised in our country. Then and even now, a high percentage of the Filipino workforce prefer overseas jobs. Russia fascinates me and, no doubt, I could have the chance to work there had these opportunities been made known earlier in my life. I am now retired enjoying my senior years here in my beautiful country.

The IT boom is really something. My company in Australia has been hiring so many programmers from overseas due to a low supply of Australian talent, and I've personally seen dozens of Russian software engineers start working here since I joined a year ago

Another great video Slava!! You are giving us the information that is of the most interest to most viewers. I am so happy you have so many subscribers and so many views!!! You deserve it, you give us important information in a way to compare one city and one sector of the economic community. Everything is a trade off. You may not be making the most money, but you have a lot as far as peace of mind are concerned. Think about using your experience and acquired knowledge to create a consulting group to assist in doing business with American companies. You have friends in this area and you understand how to help new companies make the most of their contacts. My best to you!!
