GODOT Game Engine Showcase & Examples: BLIZZARD BLOWOUT 64
Continuing to what we think is the best way to showcase a technology, through its games,, and in this case for the GODOT GAME ENGINE; retrogame inspired in the old classics of the Nintendo 64.
Our honest feedback
The game is really very difficult and will be loved by all those nostalgic hardcore gamers that wants to control up to the tiny pixel movement in order to control the game character. It will not forgive any small mistake that will launch you to deadly fall.
Visually the game is really interesting trying to emulate some looks of the old Nintendo 64 bits, with some cool shaders effects. The art assets are really minimalist, but the entire game is, because the main focus is on the controls and moving though the difficulties of the levels that grow very quickly into almost insanity :)
Godot is a 2D and 3D, cross-platform, free and open-source game engine released under the MIT license. It was initially developed by Argentinians Juan Linietsky and Ariel Manzu for several companies in Latin America prior to its public release. The development environment runs on multiple operating systems including Linux, BSDs, macOS, and Microsoft Windows. Godot can create games targeting PC, mobile, and web platforms.(Source: Wikipedia)

MAKING YOUR WAY INTO THE GAMES INDUSTRYA new GODOT Game Engine Showcase & Examples: BOTTOMLESS
Continuing to what we think is the best way to showcase a technology, through its games,, and in this case for the GODOT GAME ENGINE; with a small jewel created for the Godot Wild Jam #19, based on pixel art stunning graphics and very interesting mechanics.
Our honest feedback
We try to keep our gameplay videos around five minutes or less because the objective is to showcase all the great games that can be developed with the game engines in our tutorials list.
But in the case of BOTTOMLESS, it was actually quite difficult to think on the 5 minutes limit, because the game hook you into the challenges and the exploration that you have to solve/perform, in order to keep advancing in the game.
It is not a easy game, although the level ramps up smoothly, but some of the first steps actually made us lose frequently.
The controls are precise and the only problem that we had with them is that they are quite numerous, which meant that actually facing the game challenges and having to remember about all the controls that we have to do, is somewhat a very hard challenge, which can be balanced.
We think that it is a really great game that has the potential to have some success and to be a good representative on what godot is able of.
