I guess I will stick with the Milwaukee. I have not been disappointed yet with any of my Milwaukee cordless. I thank both you and Brian @ How to Automotive for sharing their products! Your honesty is greatly appreciated!

Your videos are amazing. Your content is great and to the point. You saved me a fortune by avoiding Snap On power tools. I am a Snap ON fan boy. However, I avoided their power tools and am happy I viewed your content on the matter. Keep up the good work with your honest reviews.

I have the ratchet and agree pretty much 100% with what you are saying. I like the ratchet a lot, in fact I never use my air ratchets anymore. The biggest advantages are the reach and convenience of being cordless. The price is pretty painful and it is kind of weak. I like to get a "running start" on bolts, it helps. Good honest review

I just used mine to do a water pump on an a 15 ford explorer. It made removing the front cover bolts a breeze. The power level seems adequate to me, and I love the length. I have a regular non-fuel Milwaukee ratchet, that one feels inadequate power wise. After removing all front cover bolts
I did notice the snapon was pretty hot to the touch, but there's like nearly 30 bolts on that front cover.

My long Snap On is not as strong as my regular 3/8 Snap On. I think it's like you said there is a power loss in the long neck. Good review Michael !!

I have most of 14.4 Snap-on electronic tools. I love them. I have both 3/8 regular & long, as well as 1/4. Use them constantly. I’ve been very satisfied with all of them. I’ve been satisfied with battery life.

Good update! All of my electric ratchets are snap on 14.4, I've been impressed with that line so far. I've had the Milwaukee 12v and power was very similar. This was a few years ago when the line wasn't as extensive as it is today. I kept braking my ratchet (x2), so I went snap on. The snap on ratchet build quality is much better, but this is compared to the old Milwaukee. The new one looks nice, haven't used it but was looking in home depot. I will say it is heavy and a little lopsided feeling but that's just my opinion on picking it in the store. I do not have the long ratchet but I love my regular one, I've had guys at work who have the long ratchet say the same thing as you, so I'm going to stay clear. I'm sure about the battery issue, never had a issue with mine and can say it's about the same as Milwaukee comparing the both. I can say that I still have my Milwaukee drill and 1/4 inch Chuck style impact i use on occasion and those batteries stay good for weeks, I maybe switch them around once a month just to keep them in a rotation. Now a nice snap on 14.4v took us the 3/8 impact, for the size and power it's awesome. Reminds me of the 9v Makita if you ever had that, not the most powerful but for its size it's awesome. Anyway, rambling a little but really you can't go wrong with either but it's a little easier to swallow a Milwaukee being crappy vs the snap on considering the price difference. Oh, steer clear of the snap on wins that hands down.

Wish Milwaukee would make a long version

Good honest update. I love my snap on 3/8 ratchet and all of my other 14.4 platform tools, but if I had to start over I think that the Milwaukee fuel series is a strong contender and a great value

I have the 1/4" and 3/8" Milwaukee ratchets and they have a lot of use, never had a problem with those. I'm glad you did a review of the long Snap On and your opinion of it. I dont have a need for it, but have been curious on how they do

I've had nothing but Milwaukee for my electric tools. They have been good but never cared for the bulk of the 3/8 extended ratchet. I found a whicked deal on this snap on ratchet (2 months old with 2 batteries and a charger in high viz for $350) I really like that It is slimmer and faster rpm.

I use a matco 1/4 ratchet all week on one charge for most of my fasteners in auto body and it’s awesome

Thanks for the review but i will wait on the long neck Milwaukee cordless ratchet . I was truly contemplating purchasing a long neck Snap On ratchet..., but long reach plus low power equals frustration at least for me .

These are good for Subaru’s. They do wonders working on boxers

What about quality Mike? My Milwaukee lasts about 6 months in my workshop. But i use all the time. The Snap-on looks a little big, isn't it to big if you are working in tight spaces?

It seems like if you needed to get in a smaller space and needed the extra reach it might be where it comes into its own.

It’s only a matter of time before Milwaukee comes out with a long cordless ratchet

Flat rate master. I really want Milwaukee to make a 3/8 fuel ratchet with the smaller body (head) of the 1/4 fuel ratchet. I feel like the head is too bulky on the 3/8 fuel ratchet and the socket sizes is too limited in 1/4 drive.
