I would love to read more T Kingfisher, Thornhedge was a good read.I also found an ancient copy of Magician at home, not mine but it has been duly appropriated, an intriguing story premise. Also, I shopped at books please using your link and got a discount, am so pleased. I got the first two books in the Veronica speedwell series amongst, ahem others 😂. The international postage rate was good and anyone reading this overseas and who misses book depository, this is a good substitute 👍. Thanks very much Abby for the introduction 😊. Plenty of books sometimes not available in usual bookstores, a real treat.

Oh yes I am so with you on Marillier, Tchaikovksy, and Susan Dennard. And I think you are going to love Kingfisher and Marie Brennan, those are faves of mine for sure!!

You have some great authors on this list! I think I’ll give The Copper Promise a try at some stage as everything else Jen Williams writes works for me. And very excited for Naomi Novik’s new series (that we’ll get a teaser for in her short story collection!) although I also still need to read Temeraire too.

isn’t it great when you read a new-to-you author and, after finishing and really enjoying the book, you discover there’s so many more books by that author to discover?! 😊
i read the seventh bride by t. kingfisher last year. it was okay, apparently it has an utterly charming hedgehog, so say my thoughts on goodreads, but i can’t seem to remember him now😢. i much preferred thornhedge and from the little bit of taste testing of the beginning of the books, swordheart and a wizard’s guide to defensive baking sound very fun! i’m also very interested in a sorceress comes to call.
i hope you discover many more favorite reads!💜

I loved Feist when I was younger, though never read the Daughter of the Empire - think I will read at some point for a series on my channel! I am also excited to start Schwab and Abercrombie, though I think my first by him will end up being The Devils.
