Our Annual Report

Last year, we published the first ever East Suffolk Strategic Plan. We want to deliver the best possible quality of life for everyone who lives in, works in and visits East Suffolk and this plan is our ‘compass’, guiding all our decision making.

Now, we want to tell you how we got here and what we have achieved, one year on from the creation of the East Suffolk Plan. Therefore, I am delighted to share this video with you today – our Annual Report.

Little did we know when we set out on this journey how impacted we would all be by the Covid-19 pandemic. It has been an incredibly challenging year and no review of what we have achieved over the past 12 months could possibly ignore the work that has gone in to supporting our communities and businesses through this terrible period.

But our story is about more than the way we have dealt with this virus. It is about how we have set a course to achieve the best possible outcomes for the district – and that is still the case, whether Covid is with us or not.

East Suffolk communities have put their faith in us to deliver outstanding services and this video explains, in a clear and simple way, what we have done in 2020/21 to repay that faith. We hope you enjoy it and find it informative.

Headed by Cllr Gallant who, almost triumphantly, has recently denied any responsibility for ESC involvement in the kittiwake situation or the maintenance of our historic Scores. So much for this champion of ‘a better environment for residents’.

I'd be interested to know how much is paid to the Police Crime Commissioner and his team. I have never believed in this post. Someone is brought in who knows little about Policing, when there is the Chief Constable and his Assistant, and a Deputy and his Assistant who understand what is going on within Policing, as they have worked their way up through the ranks. This chap would have been better use standing for local government and the Town would have saved a fortune.
