In this case you are doing data engineering as opposed to ML engineering. While ML engineering isn't just about tuning hyper-parameters, it will involve deploying and monitoring the models as well. Most companies though have a shortage of software engineers/data-engineers which leads the ML engineers/data-scientists to become more self-sufficient in generating the required data. It also helps that software engineers tend to have little clue about the data they need to process and hence sometimes a more end-to-end focussed work is more efficient.

I am thinking of entering artificial intelligence engineering, but I do not agree with mathematics. It is a little difficult. Is this a reason for me to stop thinking about this major? I'm realy worried if mathematics have a big role in it

Hi Boris, i'm Ritesh and this year i will be going to college for my btech degree for 4 years and its on artificial intelligence and data science . In this course their will be core subjects of computer science as well as on ai and ds. I will be dealing with machine learning, computer vision, deep learning, etc and I plan on doing competitive programming in my second year. As well as I would love to have additional functionalities like using davinci resolve and blender, etc but that's just well.. additional. Nevertheless can you suggest what laptop I should buy? My budget is around 1.2 to 1.6 or 1.7 lakh INR laptop which roughly about 1, 437.14 us dollars to 2, 035.95 United States Dollars. As a professional laptop which one should I buy. windows or MacBook? and which models would it suffice? I'm even ready to wait for the new ai powered chip sets by both m4 MacBooks and xelite windows. Right now I have and radeon hp laptop with 8 gb ram and 1 tb HDD storage with and ryzen processor. What should I do ? Can you help? What and how to manage hpc ? What to buy?

Since you studied from TU Berlin, I assume you studied CS in bachelor or masters. I am studying BSc Apolied Artificial Intelligence in TH Rosenheim, Germany. You can see the Modulhandbuch of my course online. What advice would you give me. Should I switch to BSc CS or I continue with this course as it would helo me in fields like ML and DS. Furthermore, do you recommend me persuing masters?
