The BYD Sea Lion 07 arrives in 2025 - here's what you need to know

The BYD Sea Lion 07 will arrive in Europe in 2025 and join the Seal U to expand the SUV range. It adopts a more coupe-like profile but will still be quite practical, offering more interior space than the Seal saloon.

You've got to give it to BYD, they're making good looking cars and they're a fairly compelling offering to people interested in an EV. Heck, I love my VW ID.3 to bits, but even I'd be tempted to make the switch if they keep this up.

BYD probably will keep the «7», at least in some markets. There are rumours for smaller variants with the same name but a different number.

With EV sales falling, depreciation destroying second hand values, and concern over availability of spare parts, EVs are the modern equivalent of Betamax video tapes…..a brief moment in the sun and then forgotten about.
