When I was around 12 I was explaining to my mother in the car on the way to school that there was a boy in my class who ALWAYS had a stick. I literally had never seen him without one in his hand. She didn’t entirely believe me and told me I was probably exaggerating.

We passed him 5 minutes later dragging an entire bush down the road. Sweet vindication.

When I was 6 years old, I found a tiny, little stick, about half an inch long in my house.

The crazy thing about the stick was, it looked EXACTLY like a walking crutch for a super tiny person.

I then became obsessed with "borrowers" and "fairies" movies.

After about a month, I lost the stick. 😢

My mother saw how sad I was about losing it. So she set out to one of those DIY fabric stores, to buy products to recreate the stick.

If the original stick was a 10 out of 10. The one she made was about a 6 out of 10.

But I still pretended to be just as happy. 😂

Me and my younger brother had a stash behind our woodpile of good branches found while going through and processing fire wood. We had the whole LotR line up AND a needler. Like for real a needler :) better times.

Yesterday was a beautiful day filled with sunshine. And there it was, glistening in morning dew. An immaculate piece of walnut stick. Brought it home.

A majestic stick indeed. I even find myself wondering why (to my knowledge, ) there were no historic swords with guards like that; perhaps with a dome behind it. Depending on how it’s oriented during combat, it could very effectively bind or parry an opponents blade.

I found a stick in 5th grade, picked it up took it home. I'm now 22 and still have that stick, I use it as a hiking stick now, it's even more dried out and perfect these days, years of using it oh hikes have made sure there are no splinters and the grip is perfect
