Community Upset with Newest Rocket League Season 7 Rewards

Psyonix just announced Season 7 rewards, and the community is not happy.

The community is always upset lol nothing new. Nobody will be happy unless Dragon Banners come back…which they won’t and should remain exclusive to that time. I do think Season 8 should be Banners tho

Once again, a game like Destiny 2, with it's TWAB, or "This Week At Bungie", is providing a pristine example of how the devs can show they are listening to their community and showing what they're working on, plus provide a shoutout for members in the community. With their TWAB, they often have polls for the community to vote on a new theme of armor or cool weapon to bring to the game. It takes a dedicated community outreach team, but it works well. Psyonix gets their own TWAB, something like "Rocket League Weekly", the community will be much happier.

Having the community design items and voting them into the game is a great idea.
The same thing is done in Lost Ark once per year and it's a big event that every player is hyped up for.

The problem with it is that the Top 5 Designs are always so good, that it is difficult to choose only 1.

I hate how psyonix is moving away from the rank in rewards, I want to flex my rank. Also I hate how they keep releasing the same rewards. We still haven't gotten a banner, border, trail, or good wheels. I just want them to release rewards in a specific order.

personally I never thought rewards were ever that good so it no longer matters to me how shit they are. Like how many people do you see rocking the rewards after a season or 2.

One problem with increasing the "punch" of items with increasing ranks is that most players build their car more clean and unflashy the more they play.
For goal explosions I absolutely agree that they should be more flashy with increasing ranks but for decals I think the most wanted Item they could do is a clean white paint color rather than extremely flashy stuff. Also for wheels, I mean the most wanted wheels in the game is stuff like Christiano, OEM, Tunica, TW Zombas... all not really particularly flashy.

I also think that psyonix is projecting experiences they have made with the rocket pass before. In the very first one there where up to 4 stages of one item and people sometimes use the flashiest or the basic version of items while mediocrely flashy items remain unused.

Also I love how the video starts wit 0:40 and ends with 11:00 xD

I would love a gamemode with a real football (soccerball) when the ball spins it actually curves but doenst lose so much speed as the beachball does.

Just don't know why psyonix doesn't realize by now that they should be catering to the higher ranks (the people who actually care about the game)
How long are they going to keep releasing weird or funny items that are for little kids and silver/gold players? It is a tiny portion of the playerbase.
Just release something simple and clean PLEASE! People are just using alphaboost or standard always and forever. The idea that they don't know is nonsense, they know nobody will use the boost. People DO use the decals, people (sometimes) use the goal explosions, people use the banners and borders. These are the only things that people will use period.

We don’t use the ranked rewards because they aren’t good, if they were good and felt accomplishing then more people would use them. Like the special titles, the oblivion goal explosion, and the banners and frames(which could be improved upon). I just want to see some stuff everybody would like to use, instead of what they give us now

I won’t change my standard boost or trail. I won’t use a topper/antenna. The wheels are usually too flashy or preset specific. So I’m only gonna be extra happy about a banner, goal explosion, or a decal

What about giving each player a choice? The way the rewards have been, with just color changes for each rank, they could make several types of items and you go into the store and pick which type you wanted, then you get each rank's version of that type.

I hit Champ for the first time and now have Champ rewards. Personally I’d love to have a creative banner and/or title. That’s all I really care about. I’ll probably never use boost, decals, goal explosions, or wheels rewards

I can just imagine a black and gold or white and gold BDS decal for winning the world championship. I'm sure that would sell REALLY well.

They should just release a community poll on what they want the rewards to be and easily please the most people who care enough about the game to vote.

PAINTED OCTANE BODIES WHERE THE PAINT ISNT JUST A SOLID COLOR.... a black and white checkered pattern for SSL, black and red for GC, etc.
People would love it... then they can do it for other hit boxes in future seasons and open up a whole other option for crap to sell in the future. Imagine painted bodies that have colors that match each individual esports decal. I will fully support cash grabs like that in a game that I love. Rewards-wise, having an exclusive car body that nobody can ever get again would be awesome.
