How Old is my DOD Pedal?

FX80-B is the only pedal I have that is always on. I bought it new back in the late 80's.

Thanks for this. I'm wanting to get a Supra Distortion "B" just like the one I had when I was a teenager, and I couldn't remember the correct graphic/branding/treadle. Originally bought it in 89, so this sorts it out.

Fun video! Most of my pedals are EHX, DOD, or digitech. I do have an 18V Ibanez from long ago that sounds terriffic! At the time I got the Ibanez, replacement square switches were not avail, so, I added a jack to which I connect an old dictation machine footswitch, lol... Just discovered yr channel and subbed!

I must have got a deal on mine new. I bought the FX40B, FX55B, and FX69 all at about the same time, new in 1994 for about $45 each. They were cheaper than BOSS, which I think were running at $75-80 at the time.

I'll be 61 next month, so I've been around a pedal {effects, as we called them back in my day} or two. Those Performer Series that you mentioned early in the video were/are simply AWESOME. These were the last models that the company put out under the original owners, and in my opinion, the last great DOD pedals. After that, they were just "good". Then long about 1996-7 they went to shit.

idk about any of these being someones first. the cheapest was Arion in the mid to late 80s. i bought a used one from a friend, he got a HM2. but i was happy with something rather than nothing. Lol Later i picked up a used DOD FX50B. It lost a few lbs but i just rebuilt/restored it yesterday. thinking of modding it to a FX55B, i think its the same board just different components added or taken away

I have a DOD FX80, 2 knobs with 3 screws. When I went to a serial number decoder, it says it was made May of 1987. I'm not sure how reliable the website was but can you please help me to date my DOD? THANKS
