Even now, people still don’t understand either character. If we have Superman, who’s best feat (no longer canon) is when he bursted the very bonds of infinity while also tanking anti-matter, and have him go up against a character like Goku who’s been proven to be stronger than the superior feat he displayed years ago when he shook the very fabric of nothingness, and nearly destroyed it while competing for the fate of his very universe, while continuing to grow even further beyond that level of power years later, then the answer is pretty clear. Remember, DC has a stricter Superman power scale than most people think, as 2011, every canon material then is what came after, not before, and Goku’s not bound by such restrictions, but with the exceptions of Xeno, GT, DB Heroes and maybe more, mainline canon Goku, including the manga, vastly overpower big blue currently. Although, Superman still has the power to use more solar energy than people realize, he can essentially dip in the sun and become Superman One Million even in canon if DC wanted, having him easily outclass most foes and potential be close to Goku highest level of power, as Superman’s susceptibility to solar energy is enough of an edge on any foe he faces, so that’s something that can help him in a battle with Goku, at least on some degree. But then again, who knows if Superman still can do that to a point where he gets to his One Million form, as it was created in 1998 during a crossover event, I believe, and since DC has yet to address this again in a future story for the character, and he likely won’t be able to, due to 2011 retconning any material written for Superman before then, so yeah. Realistically, this is how this fight should be seen and calculated for both characters.
