Ok, I detectived this out: jeonse is when you pay a lump-sum deposit usually at average of 50% or 80% of the value of a property, and you don't pay anything else for the period of the agreement, usually 2 years. The owner makes profit out of the sum you've paid, and gives you back the deposit / lease once the agreement is done.

전새 (Jeonse) is paying basically a major percentage of the full price of the home for the deposit which you then “theoretically” get returned to you. Korean citizens take out loans for this and pay the interest instead of monthly rent. **you can’t get these loans as a foreigner**

Jeonse is not purchasing the house. Its a unique renting system of paying a large deposit to have no monthly rent. And there are jeonse loans that you can do as well. It works out if you have the savings so you can save more instead of paying rent.

Jeonse means she probably paid about 170k-270k for the space. She doesnt have to pay rent, she gets the money back at the end of her lease.
