Salvation is the forgiveness of sins and restoration of friendship with God, which can be done by God only.

Hello Pastor. Thank you once again for an excellent video! If it were at all possible, I would love to see a discussion between you and Pr. Will Weedon on theosis, as I know he also has a deep knowledge of the Eastern tradition and the early church fathers. I think it would be fascinating to hear you both discuss the topic and how we as Lutherans can engage in the discussion, noting the sharp distinctions between energies and nature in the orthodox tradition, but also balancing it with critiques like Koberle’s. It would be an awesome baseline video for all of us lay people and discussion formats are always fun. God Bless!

Interesting, we Catholics have always said that we have been saved (by our baptism), are being saved (by our daily walk with Christ), and will be saved at our death.

Dr. Cooper - thank you for your work. Have you done a video on the Flaccius/Melanchton controversy over original sin/nature in the book of Concord? I think that would be an interesting video!

Great video. So I was reading scripture tonight and it’s very clear that the apostle Paul was given the task of going to the gentiles. I was curious how come his epistles always seem to take the back seat in divine service? Yet his epistles form so much of our doctrine. Thank you for all the content you create

Is it fair to say the Ordo Salutis is more of a logical ordering rather than a temporal one. Since multiple aspects happen at the same moment, but nonetheless have a logical order to them. I think this is where some of the confusion comes in with a "once for all" view. We can say justification happens logically before sanctification, but that doesn't mean they both don't occur subsequently in time.

Hello Dr. Jordan!
Do you have some book recommendation on the topic of the Lutheran Eucharist?

I actually heard a story of a monk on Mt Athos coming out of a cave to meet visitors who said the elder was glowing like a lightbulb. This was during the day.
