You can play hardcore mod its more fun. And you can play with unlimited time, in first person if you add the option.

Yo Apollo the option when you're setting up your game called 'Direct Control Charge' sets how long you can stay in first person. Personally i dislike having the timer but I think it's reasonable if you're doing PVP, just an FYI I've had this game for ages just thought you should know lol.
Also theres a whole bunch of mechanics you're missing out on like building defenses, reviving fallen soldiers and stuff, makes the gameplay a lot more engaging if you learn about these :).

This game is lots of fun I usually play hardcore mode. never had anyone to play multiplayer with though.

If you like this game and men of war assault squad 2, check out a older game 2007 called world in conflict. Its in the gog store and on uplay. Its the cold war and its a rts on a pretty big scale, It is really good.

I recently started playing this game and the first person control can be really effective when you defend (don't have to micro as much defendig) i remember one battle where I didn't have heavy armour left but the ai was spamming tanks and infantry fighting vehicles and I destroyed three tanks with one RPG soldier.

I actually play this game sometimes and its hard to get into a game with other people but if you want it more realistic u can turn on a hardcore mode.
