Bicentenary of the birth of the Bab, Oceanside, CA

ON 29 AND 30 OCTOBER 2019, IN COUNTLESS SETTINGS AND PLACES THROUGHOUT THE WORLD, PEOPLE CELEBRATED THE 200TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE BIRTH OF THE BÁB, WHOSE REVITALIZING MESSAGE PREPARED THE WAY FOR THE COMING OF BAHÁ’U’LLÁH, THE FOUNDER OF THE BAHÁ’Í FAITH.

Our celebration was held at Mira Costa College in Oceanside, CA.
This was a multi-cultural, interfaith event. We had a live harpist playing as our guests started to fill the seats. The concept of progressive revelation was interpreted through a live performance by some of the local Bahá’í youth. Other performances included members of the Hindu community, a Jewish Cantor, a Buddhist drumming group, a Christian gospel group, a call to prayers by a member of the local Islam community, Capri Corwin sang a song for us, Keith Anderson performed a song completely in sign language, the local NAACP Youth Council performed spoken work and finally Liz Lewellen and Phil Sisson sang a beautiful song concluding the evening. We also showed clips from the film, Dawn of the Light.
