We have something in common. I ran sound for my church for 10 years. It was a lot of fun, especially for a guy like me who loves music but doesn't have any talent. :)

One thing I did sometimes when I would work on my RV is use my phone to reach in and take a picture of things that were in cramped places. That helped some times when you had to fix things with one arm.

Love your vids! Keep them coming...

Yes, a full tour of the feed process would be great.

Another amazing video Carl. I enjoy watching all of your content, so of course I’d like a feed room tour. 👍

Thanks for another great video, Carl. You may remember I've mentioned using DDGS for animal feed, but I knew nothing about the practicalities. Thanks for teaching, as always. Be well and stay warm.

Skid loaders are awesome machines, we could not help the people we do without them. However they are a pain to work on. We had a steel hydraulic line go bad on one of ours recently. 5 minutes to disconnect the line but 5 hours to remove and replace everything else to get to it.

Could you use a leaf blower to keep the hay out of the skidloader? It wouldn't get the frozen stuff but it would help. I use one on all my equipment on a regular basis. It also is used to clean my shop floor.
Thanks for having us along.

Great to have someone to fix starters etc. Its a dying breed, as you said about the shop owner. When the older places shut down the newer guys want to sell new stuff. We had quite a few where I live and most are all gone. Only 1 that does it here now, rebuild starters and alternators. The rest want to sell you new and rebuilt and that involves a few days waiting to come in.
Stupid question - Do they charge for the spent corn from making ethanol ? Why I say stupid question is some places just want to get rid of it. Around here they used to sell the "slop" from making french fries, which was oil and fries that didnt make the cut, but the charge was mostly for delivery to the cattle feedlots.

I know you guys must love to farm, to be able to work in those freezing temperatures, thankfully here in NC we don't experience that kind of cold, really enjoy your videos

Maybe not the biggest farming channel but one of the best. Tell everyone you know about Dodge Brothers. They have a heart for farming and great content.

Good video! I learned something new. I always wondered what happened to the leftover corn from making ethanol.

Great video. Just try to keep a fire extinguisher close by for the skidsteer for that just in case until it thaws out. I would be interested in seeing that mixing room.

The compact form factor that makes the skid steer loader such a versatile machine makes it hard to work on.

This reminds me of why I didn't care for bobcats, I turned wrenches for the JD dealer in the late eighties and they had the bobcat franchise, nothing was easy to get at on them. I much preferred working on construction equipment. Have a great day.
