Green screen is used in all types of movies, to put actors in places that would otherwise be expensive or impossible. Today we’re going to look at 3 effects you can use to key out your green or blue screen background so that you’re left with a clean shot of your subject, ready for compositing.

Now the chroma key is what I wanted a while back but was on too old a version. Brilliant you uploaded this. Day to Day stuff us noobs don't know how to use. You create great content and doing stuff myself know its takes a lot of time.

I use the green screen, but it create white dots on my hair or shirt. The background is not perfectly green.
However, the green background disappears, but I have these dots. Do I solve if I buy the add on? thanks

I *HAVE* to spend more time with the Chroma Key effect. I tend to get semi-transparent areas.
My main problem is those little jiggly edges leftover even if I use Matte cleaner. I guess it's something to do with my lighting but I have tried loads of different things. Any advice?

General greensceen tips:
Post footage - bulk out, then tune in. Use multiple keys|effects|masks on the initial ones use large settings to remove as much as possible, then use stacked effects to dial it in for fine details. Like with hair trying to get 1 chromakey to get perfect silhouettes WITH hair is a good way to go mad when starting out.

Preproduction: If you think a shoot will take N amount of time double that, if your greenscreening double it again, then be ready 2 hours early.
Test setups before people showup is a good courtesy and gets people to keep helping you.
Test your camera settings to prevent unusable footage. not "bad" footage "unusable"
If you have a dslr obviously take a still at resolution matching video output and test that still faster than having to xfer footage.
If your not providing wardrobe always communicate colors to cast helping you or be ready for a last minute shopping trip.
Always have more lights than you think reasonable and have a good range of diffusion or reflectors even if it's bedsheets, windshield reflectors and lamps.
If you have a light meter use that on spots over the greenscreen to test for even lighting.
Always spend a bit more time than you think is needed tuning your lighting, positioning and greenscreen rigging. A few minutes|hours or preproduction can translate to saving days if not weeks of time or outright avoid massive time sinks like rotoscoping in post.

Test footage for non-commercial usage:
hitfilm has several other tuts that use greenscreen that provide assets
See blenders project mango aka tears of steal it's a huge repository of greenscreen stuff
*edit added light meter

It is a great effect indeed but I discovered the problem of not having exact light situations, when i captured the Footage. The result wasn't that great. Do you guys have any tips for the capturing with green screen?
