Police use guy as mafia bait; guy somehow lives

Craig Morel ran a towing service in Springfield, MA. At some point, the mob took notice, and start extorting him for protection.

Morel went to the local police. The way the police handled it ... well ... left me with many, many questions. I mean, I have zero police experience, but I am pretty sure I could set up a better set of stings. You know ... with less blatant purposeful frustration of the mafia.

Also, I mispronounce many, many mafia names. No disrespect intended!

I'm with you on this one. How the hell did Morel live? Pissing off the Mafia for 3 years, let alone longer, is not conducive to continued breathing.

13:10 Since the guy is still alive, the guy paid the mafia himself. The MSP is just as corrupt, but they have badges. Apparently there is a need for a contracts lawyer in Massachusetts.

Cursing birds print would have worked well for this, shame it's not unpacked yet.

is it a crime in the US for the police to intentionally endanger your life?.

I'm trying to figure if they were really that stupid, or if somebody from his local PD was trying to get him killed.

Theoretical: Can a Judge sign a blank warrant for the cops to use, in order to bypass 4th amendment protections against seizures? Would this be conspiracy or would it be protected under absolute immunity?

You did that, “In the year 2000, ” almost as good as a Catholic castrato cantor. Is there a reason for that?🤪 Also how many mafioso snicker when they say “arrears” for juvenile reasons.

"What's good for one is good for all. Another good reason not to join conspiracies, because you get implicated and held responsible for everyones' crimes. So, don't do that. Don't join conspiracies..."

(Me, thinking to myself: "All good points... Also, the whole 'trusting others to do their jobs' part. Don't do a conspiracy. Got it.")

"And: Don't commit crimes for that matter..."

(Me, thinking to myself: "WHAT?! NO, I WASN'T PLANNING ABOUT COMMITTING A CRIME. NO. SHUT UP. YOU WERE! I am innocent.")
