I have been enjoying my Fluance 81 for the past month. Playing records each day for a couple of hours. The sound is so rich and vibrant very pleasing with the Edifier 1280t speakers. And a very handsome turntable, love the look of it.

Just a quick update - Fluance has released a new turntable! I have no info on it. I also doubt I will be reviewing it unless Fluance wants to send me one, but I wanted to let you you all know before you make a purchase. As for this review, I stand by it barring any new first hand info on the new TT... Happy listening!

I have watched and read several reviews. The Fluance RT81 has been rated high. I own a set of the Fluance home theater speakers and was highly impressed with the quality of those which led me to look into their turntable offerings. I went ahead and purchase the RT81 directly from Fluance. Thanks for your review.

I love my Fluance RT81. I've owned it for a little over 3 months now and play records all the time. I've upgraded my cartridge to an AT120Eb and it sounds so much better than the AT95E. This is a great record player for the price.

I have two of these beauties at home and love them both. You will love Fluance’s speakers as well should you decide to purchase them. They are beautiful to look at and sound great, much like the RT 81.

I just purchased one from Facebook marketplace for 160 without cables and 45 adapter. The turntable is brand new no damage whatsoever and i have baught what i was missing. Now all i have to do is buy some records and maybe a phono preamp for now I'll use the built in one.

Hey Paul, I just want to say thank you for all the great advice. I'm loving the RT81, haven't played it much because been working on base so I play it when I can. I did upgrade the cartridge to the Audio-Technica AT-VM95ML/H and it sounds so much better and it really comes alive. Again thanks for this video that helped me make my decision when shopping for a new turntable. :-)

Returning to vinyl after a 30 year hiatus. Bought this with the Fluance bookshelf speakers. Very nice. Not up to the quality of my old B&O but then neither is the price.

FYI—as of 2/2019 the RT81 no longer comes double boxed. A single box only. Better hope your delivery service is nice to it!

Hey Paul, great review and it prompted me to get a RT81 to replace my 20 year old Music Hall MMF.21 that broke down. I'm kinda having some doubts because I'm hearing about a 24 hour break in period? I read the manual on line and it says to spin it for 24 hours to break it in? Kinda feeling edgy now. Not a newbie but did you leave the table spinning for 24 hours prior to playing any records? Kinda sounds weird to me.

Great review, Now are you using the built in pre amp in your setup or do you have it set directly up to your receiver/ Amplifier or do you have A pre amp and then to Your receiver/ Amplifier, Im getting one and was wondering what the best setup is and speakers
