Mario Kart 8 - N64 Rainbow Road Lap Glitch

This glitch causes the lap counter to count laps and end the race at the wrong checkpoints.

Turn on subtitles for instructions during the video.

-Go to N64 Rainbow Road.
-Turn around and head back.
-When you get near the wall, aim for the gap between the wall and the fence.
-Use a mushroom and hop just before the wall. This should make you jump over the edge. When you fall off the road, try not to turn to the right or you may get set back on the lower section again.
-Once Lakitu sets you on the section before the ramp, turn around and drive back to the checkpoint that would normally start the 2/3 section.
-After you cross that, turn around again and drive the normal way through the course. The laps will count off at the wrong checkpoints and skip one checkpoint before the race ends.

Notes: You can do this with karts or bikes, and the weight class does not matter.

+GlitchFish: When I was doing that glitch, I decided to do an alternate version of the same glitch, and I was curious while going backward, if I turn arrown at the first check point I saw, the one that gives the finial lap normaly, I did that and the start line counted the 2nd lap,   the first check point that normaly counts 2nd lap did not count at all,   and the 2nd check point that start the finial lap, still start the finial lap, and the finish line ended it normally. That his so weird

I did the new one i show you : go the wong way until you get to the 2nd point if you to the start Line you get the 2nd lap one point don't get the 3nd lap it will fix every point

THE GLITCH DOES NOT WORK ON THE OLD VERSION I played the Mario kart from 1996 yesterday it’s my siblings and I’s I did it we have other stations like Xbox and ps 4 and other stations but the Nintendo 64 is the best because we have had it for like 18-22 years cause I have older siblings who got it a long time ago it brings back 90s memories I love it we love playing super smash bros all the time I feel bad for the kids who are stuck up in popularity and in their phones and act like brats who are the kids today while I’m just a freaking loner who plays video games with her siblings
