US, China call Blinken’s Beijing visit “candid and constructive”
Показать описание
Despite very chilly relations between China and the U.S. these days, both countries are calling the start of a two-day meeting between their foreign ministers “candid and constructive.”
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken is in Beijing to speak with his counterpart Chin Gang and other Chinese officials — the first such visit in five years.
As Redmond Shannon reports, the agenda will mostly involve trying to rebuild some much-needed trust between the two superpowers.
