Watched Swans yesterday. Coward was incredibly intense and hit you like a fucking brick wall. Incredible gig and I was quite surprised to see so many people not wearing ear plugs.

I was told that there was something even more intense than the "Public Castration..." version of "Coward". I stopped laughing when I heard this version. Holy. Fucking. Shit. I'm with anyone who says that this arrangement needs to be on their next live album. It's absolutely monstrous.

I saw them in scotland touring for The Seer. I'd only discovered Swans recently so I didn't know what to expect. There are no words to describe the experience.This song smashed me to pieces before the Seer/Apostate put me back together.

Words cannot do this band justice. They just cannot. I felt like I was tripping on acid and was having an out of body experience.

Still churning out the real thing more than 20 years later. Brilliant person, unbelievably powerful music. Even when Swans is minimal their impact on the senses is titanic.

angriest "old man" i've bared witness to around 2012, i think. i'm not young and it gives me hope. i was affected by this. i did see them again on the their later tour with low and i was disappointed. it pained me, cause i really talked up their previous performance to the person that attended that 2nd one with me. snoozy and didn't come across well live. i have resisted buying that album based on that experience.
