Diplomacy in Action! World Leaders Converge at G20 Summit in Delhi

The world's most influential leaders have assembled for the G20 Summit at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, at a time when age-old challenges are demanding new solutions for which there is a need to fulfill all the responsibilities with a Human-Centric approach.
During the "One Earth" session, PM Modi called upon the world to transform the global trust deficit into one of trust and reliance and evoked the mantra of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas' as a torch bearer. He also invited the Head of the African Union to take his seat, as a permanent member of the G20 as the first session of the Summit began. The member countries welcomed the decision to admit the African Union as a part of the G20 grouping.

The G20 summit is a prestigious event that is a culmination of various ministerial meetings, working groups, and engagement groups. The agenda includes discussions on climate change, debt, food security, sustainability, and geopolitical conflict. The theme of India’s G20 Presidency - “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” or “One Earth, One Family, One Future” - is drawn from the ancient Sanskrit text of the Maha Upanishad.
