DJI Fly App Update 1.13.9 / Did DJI Fix All The Stuff?

Did DJI fix everything with the newest DJI Fly App Update 1.13.9? NO! On a scale of 1 to 10, this fly app update is about a 9 for me. They seemed to address all the problems everyone was complaining about except for the one I was complaining about. Shocker...

Last week, we released the DJI Fly App Update 1.13.8 video for the Mini 2 (pro) and honestly, that update worked perfectly for the Mini 2. I had no problems whatsoever, BUT I wasn't able to update the DJI Mini 4 Pro because I simply couldn't find the update on the RC2 controller. I even swallowed my pride and called Nobbygreen asking him to walk me through the process of the update. Well, surprise! I know. I'm just as surprised as you are, but I was actually looking for the fly app update in all the right places with the RC2 controller, but it just simply wasn't popping up.

Well, the next day, I woke up and when I turned the RC2 controller on to check one last time, BOOM! Here comes the Fly App Update 1.13.9! Ok, I installed it with no problems so I was excited to see if one specific thing had been addressed. We have a Power Plus Pro battery (aftermarket) we used to be able to use with the Mini 4 Pro in the past, but when the 1.13.0 Fly App Update came out, that battery suddenly became a brick. Well, guess what. It's still a brick. Oh well. Let's take a flight and see what else has been addressed and "fixed".

Good review of the update. I updated after having problems with the Waypoints and all is working good now. I'll have to meet up and fly with you in the winter as we stay just the other side of the 206 and love flying over the Intercostal. I haven't flown at that park but will definitely fly there this winter. I often fly at Green Road boat launch.

Hi, i read somewhere that to get an accurate rth you have to do a auto take off from the screen not a manual with the sticks. Then go straight up to about 24ft.

Try doing an IMU calibration, even if one is not requested. See if that improves Dwight's precision landing.

Ole buddy, your videos are always fun. I hope everyone enjoys them as much as I do. I have slowed down a bunch, old age catching up to me? I haven't flown my mini-2 in a year! And my YouTube channel hasn't been added to in months. But I'm alive and happily enjoying our time together in Washington State for the summer.

I just did that update this morning and it had no issues.😃
Did check out the settings they were ok. Did a test flight took some video and shots all good.
Hit return to home and on the landing Slinky was 2 inches off 🤣

Do you have a favorite app to check before you fly?  Weather, air space, restrictions…? I also bought the Pekrews case due to your review. I love it. Enhanced Transmission is what DJI just added on their store (for minis and air 3 etc).
Its essentially a physical addon that gives 4G connectivity if your remote loses radio signal to the drone.
I mean theoretically it might be amazing, able to fly behind mountains and stuff, as long as the drone has range to a 4G tower.
Mine hasnt arrived yet so cant test it.

Enjoy your video even though I don’t have the Mini 4. Still have my trustee mini 2 Just did the update for mine seems to work OK on my mini 2. Be heading down your way to Florida first couple weeks of September. If you ever happen to be over that way toward Panama City give me a holler. Maybe we can fly, beautiful place over there. Maybe we could try the upside down flight test.

I notice that if I do both calibrations on my Mavic 3 Pro and Mini 4 Pro whether it asks or not every once in a while precision landing comes back. Love your vids!!
