Hey Lost. I am a contractor here in NYC and I can tell you right now.... what you're going through... is 1000% normal. I explain this to my clients all the time.. "Construction is one thing on paper but when shovels are on the ground real life walks in" 100% normal to be over budget or past the deadline. especially if you're on a island.

Hi Christian. Not sure if anyone has advised you, but be mindful of vibrations throughout the house from the speakers. Whether the fittings, structure or your deco. At a bar I worked at, the sound system made the bottles move from the vibration that no one noticed until I pointed it out. Saved us a lot of trouble from potential falling bottles off the shelves.

Hi Lost! Just seeing your videos for the first time and can't express how grateful and inspired I am just because I came across your page. I was living in London for the past two years and now considering to take the risk and move to Bali (my girl just moved there and I plan to buy a one way ticket and be there just before a New Year). It is impossible to express how much your journey and positivity inspired me and gave me clarity he right way. Definitely will meet you one day soon and say thank you once again for such an inspiration and motivation. Stay true and positive!

Hi Christian

Very interesting subject, Hi End Audio equipment and sound. I was a High End audio enthusiast. The room surrounding is as important as the equipment itself. Everything from the the original CD/Vinyl record, Turntable, Stylus, CD player (some of which comes with a separate digital to analogue converter), speaker cable quality, Speakers, My favourite were the classic Tanoy Arden paired with Leak Stereo single ended Monoblock power amp. I built the pre amp myself, which was a passive pre amp. Speakers size to room size is important to.

It takes time to set up but one set up and the optimum sound quality is reached, it will blow your mind. A well set up system will reveal such detail and depth like you have never heard before, revealing 3 dimensional depth and organic high detailed sound. It feels like the group, band or musicians are performing in your room. Hi end audio can actually be addictive but so relaxing. A good high end audio system will rip apart a bad CD or Vinyl recording and make it not listenable. I myself prefer Valve amplifiers because they produce different harmonics than a FET Amplifier.

With your system you will be able to enjoy audio like never before and it does not stop there. One can continue experimenting with cables, CD players and more and dig even deeper into the sound recordings of CD and vinyl. My Favourite Speaker of all time is the Tannoy Westminster Royal paired up with a Audio Note Ongaku power amp

I head this amp at a audio (Audio Note Japan Ongaku - $250, 000) exhibition in the UK. The sound was mind blowing

What is the most expensive audio note amp?
Audio Note Japan Ongaku - $250, 000

Created in 1989 - like Taylor Swift - this uses pure silver for its transformer – one of the most important aspects in keeping the graceful and dignity sound of the 211 power tubes, says Audio Note – as well as for its conductors and capacitors.27 May 2020

Tannoy Westminster Royal GR-OW
2-Way Floorstanding 15" Dual Concentric HiFi Loudspeaker (Oiled Walnut)
£54, 995.00
/ Pair

I have not heard a better speaker in my life time paired up with the Audio Note Ongaku.

14:37 why don't you make a small river in this area from up leading down, it would be very beautiful and peaceful if you could hear the sound of flowing water

I would use as much bougainvillea and mandevilla as possible… you will have so much green that you’ll want to add as much colour as possible… try not to use some like trumpet vine because it will tend to take over everything… find plants that are not so invasive… good luck… I’d luv to visit your gorgeous garden and home some day

I love the relationship your home has with the environment, I'm all for the indoor/outdoor concept, greenery, etc. Was there anything you really wanted to implement that turned out to be unfeasible/not worth it?

With all the nice euro bathroom fittings, I hope they can handle the mineralized water without clogging the faucets. I have a villa in Seminyak, water stains and blocked taps/ shower heads are a common problem to manage.

Incredible, amazing so beuztiful that i would never want to leave. I can't believe how much building is going on outside of your property.... I remembered seeing it all as a lush green bali jungle. All the extra trees and plants for privacy are looking great.

I love these kind of videos, not everything has to do with traveling, Jon Olsson does the same every now and then and it’s really cool 😎

A steam sauna room would be nice. I can do a 4hr steam session (not at once but in intervals or 1hr straight then 20 min hydration break, then 30min, 30 min, and then the rest completed in 15min intervals. I go through 7 Litres of filtered water and 1 Litre of coconut water. The steam room sessions are keeping me alive right now. The longest I have done in the steam room is 2hrs 30min straight with a top sweat jacket on. I drank 2 litres of coconut water and 4 litres of filtered water
