Thank you for featuring places with real history. Glad for all the new foodie joints but they need to stick around a few decades to become iconic.

I have lived here my entire life, and Karichimaka Restaurant on Mission Road is, in my opinion, the best Mexican food in town. Eegees is a national treasure, but ever since new management took over in the last few years, their sandwiches are not the same but the drinks are still awesome. Pinnacle Peak is my favorite place to go for steak dinners. And I am so glad that you included Bobo’s because that there’s a little hole in the wall place that a lot of people do not know about but their breakfasts are off the chain! You can never go wrong if you go to Lucky Wishbone.

P.S. I used to work at the Furr’s Cafeteria at Park Mall 1984-1985 and am deeply disappointed that we no longer have one of my favorite cafeterias around here.

Born and raised in Los Angeles California, I moved here 18 years ago. I've gone back twice I realized that Tucson is the place for me. I'll never go back.

Great memories. I was in Tucson from 1980-85. May be relocating back soon. Does anyone remember an Italian Deli that was right near the Tucson Mall somewhere near Oracle and Wetmore, I believe in the early 1980s? Thanks.

Local since '71: I miss Greasey Tony's on Speedway near the U of A. Their hot meatball sub was my undergraduate hangover cure. Lil' Abner's owner Dave Hoffman passed away recently. I knew him since Rugby in '71/'72. Great guy. He knew all the obscure Rugby Songs. Taught me how to chug beer. Later I'd rig lighting for events at his ranch in Catalina.
Love Pinacle Peak, but I heard their sister operation, El Corral quit serving the Cowboy Beans [pintos]. IDKY. I prefer the Carne Seca at El Minuto to El Charrito's. [I once asked for, ,carne seca'' at a Mexican place in El Centro, CA... [They even had an autographed Blue Angels photo on the wall...] They thought I was a loco gringo: , ,There is no such thing as Carne Seca, '' they said. As a stagehand at TCC often, I ate at El Minuto regularly. They knew me, and would get me served quick, since they knew my lunch hour was limited.
Love Eegee's. After a fenderbender 30 years ago, I had to ditch my glovebox Bacardi hip flask that I used to ''warm up'' the slushee on the way home.

Fortunado's and Bobo's I 've never tried. I'm in Oro Valley.

Hello, I love your channel. I lived in Tucson from 1991-1999, and I remember Pinnacle Peak's delicious food. I miss some of the closed restaurants, like Ye Olde Lantern and the Solarium. Great memories, and I thank you for sharing!

I lived in Tucson for 27 years and El Charro was the first one I went to in 1972. I had Carne Asada and I have yet to find it any better anywhere else. Alejandro's Tortillas are simply THE best! Lucky Wishbone is the franchise that should be famous Steak Fingers! Luke's Chicago-style

I've lived in a number of places around the country and I learned that when you move away fom some place that it is the local restaurants that you miss the most and Tucson has some incredible restaurants.

Everything looked so good! When I visit Tucson, El Corral is a definite must! I love the food and the wild west appeal. 🤠

You forgot Pat’s Drive-in, El Coral, Woody’s Macao and Sir Veda’s Taco Garage. All were favorites of mine when I lived there.

PATS - is a hot dog and burger place on the west side of the 10 Freeway. In the late 60s my friends and I will go there for lunch when we were in high school (Tucson High School) before it turned into a magnet School. We haven’t been there since the 90s. Whenever we would go visit my parents our first stop would be Pats, then we would visit my parents.

I'm really disappointed you didn't mention Caruso's Italian on 4th Ave. They have been around since the 20's and in the same location since the 1930's. Practically the whole menu is made in house.
