I truly feel the developers for new Vegas had fired many firearms before or consulted an expert because they really nailed the lever guns. Same with different ammunition types. One of my favorite parts of the game.

See that's one thing I can never understand in fallout 4 not only did they put the loading port on the left hand side they also only gave us 1 ammunition type for the lever action rifle. When in new Vegas we have 4 different ammo types.

The fo4 leveraction, if I recall, also makes you reload every bullet even if you're only missing one.

As a left handed person I like that all F4 rifles are left handed. Now if only I could make my character left handed. 😅

I have seen left sided loading for a lever action, but they were only custom models bought by left handed shooters

It also doesn’t help that in fallout new Vegas you could cancel the reload animation at any time to start shooting again. In fallout four you have to wait through the entire animation.

I feel as though fallout 4 was made by a team of people who’d never played a fallout game or been anywhere near a firearm and was just smoking weed all day.

Every shot felt like they counted in new Vegas. Getting the drop on a raiding party and getting those clean shots was so satisfying.
