I was an emergency c-section because of a full placenta abruption after my mom slipped in the shower. I was born at 28 weeks. She was 19 and alone.

Now imagine there are people who still thinks that's not a human being, so it's ok to dismember. Now imagine there are mothers who choose to kill because they chose their sexual pleasure over recognizing the humanity in that child. They failed to hear the soul of their own child crying in their womb. Imagine the same people would've celebrated a pregnant dog than to celebrate a pregnant woman.

Yep! This is EXACTLY why ppl NEED to be shown the procedure! It's EASY to be indifferent when you stick your head in the sand about this! Pro life ppl aren't discounting the importance of human beings that are already here. Nor are they saying that life will be easy! However, everyone should have a choice to be born!

My mom has always told my younger brother and me for years that we weren’t supposed to be born.

In the decade before I was conceived, Mom had several miscarriages. The last one was an ectopic pregnancy that nearly killed her. After that one, the doctors told her “your next pregnancy will kill you.” Two months later, she realized that she was pregnant. She and my father both wept in joy when the ultrasound technician confirmed that I was right where I was supposed to be and that all looked well.

The idea of a mother killing her baby because she’d be inconvenienced by one…makes me sick to my stomach.

Hi, hello. This makes me angry. I am a teacher, a mom, and a scientist, and was raised Catholic. My mom miscarried twin boys at home at 3 months in 1976 and went to the hospital afterwards. If the D&C she was able to get because Roe v Wade was in effect had not happened, she would have died, and i and my 3 siblings would never have been. Surgery is rarely ever pretty to watch. But the results of banning abortion are even uglier and less humane. You want to see awful?? Watch a person aborting themself with a coat hanger because it's illegal to be performed by a licensed doctor. I bet you'll change your mind right back mighty quickly. What does it say in the Bible, judge not lest ye be judged?? Try not judging people who have abortions. If you don't want one, don't get one. But don't condemn others to death and suffering because YOU don't like it. Mother of Christ.
