I can't be more grateful to you for making this video. I'm a solo female backpacker from India and I'm currently doing latin America. Nicaragua was going to be my 38th country (just a little behind your number when you got here). I was supposed to cross over from El Salvador to Nicaragua TONIGHT, going via Honduras and through this very border crossing. Had my shuttle bus and hostels etc. all booked. But due to Nicaragua's required online pre-check form (which you were also asked to fill) that wouldn't let me select my nationality as Indian and kept showing errors, I decided to do some more research which was giving me all sorts of mixed information about whether or not I'd be allowed into Nicaragua from this land border. While doing this research I stumbled on this video right in time (13 hours before my shuttle start time) and decided to cancel my trip. No way can I afford to get stuck in that part of Honduras if these guys treat me the same way. Now will be flying directly to Costa Rica. Thank you so SO much for documenting this crossing struggle. It honestly really helped.

I faced a similar situation in Romania, after having traveled in several countries in Europe. They refused to give me entry permit saying I hold an "Indian passport and it is a bad passport". Fortunately I had a letter from their Ministry because I was traveling on a business trip and they let me in after they saw the letter. I have seen discrimination against us in several countries just because we hold Indian passports even though we speak well, dress well and do everything like others do. Cannot help it. This is the reality. Some Indians (who try to escape into other countries or enter illegally) have created this problem for the genuine ones out there.
To deal with such cases, research the countries where Indians generally face discrimination in immigration, understand the reason behind them and prepare in advance for that. Has helped me in my travels in some countries.

Your videos need to be watched by EAM India. Indian passport shouldn't be looked upon like this, by a central American country, when we are the 5th largest economy.
