Honestly, I think these comparisons between one piece of military hardware against another isn't very useful. Really tired of the "wonder weapon" mentality. We all know how that worked out in Ukraine. Everything in the military is part of a system. Tanks don't operate solo but as a combined arms force. The Mirage would face an integrated, layered air defense system and would be shot down by a SAM. The other thing is the Top Gun dog fighting mentality. Those days are long gone. Engagement is BVR (beyond visual range) with missiles that can strike a target 100+ kilometers away. The Chinese 6th gen prototypes like the J-36 and J-50 are designed with that idea and they will be armed with air-to-air hypersonic missiles.

Hey creator of this video, the Mirage 2000=5 aren't armed with medium-long ranged missiles. They are armed with Mica missiles to shoot down cruise missiles & drones freeing up F-16s to do offensive works. SU-35s are still launching ordnance outside Air Defense ranges.

Again, NATO is fielding 30 year old tech with the Mirage 2000 and F-16. The SU 34 can operate the same AAMs as the SU 35.

The Mirage 2000 is from 1978, Su 35 2008! Ukraine uses the Mirage therefore as an attack bomber and not in dogfights. Anyway until March 2024 seven Su35 were shot down from the ground.
