A.J. Raffles is one of my book crushes! He and Simon Templar are battling for my heart! LOL

I need to get my hands on a Raffles book! Everytime you mention him it's like I wanna read it right now!!! Agatha Christie has always been my favorite mystery writer. I recently read the play version of And then There Were None and the Mousetrap. It was a fun read. I always wanna reread her books. I also wanna reread The Cat Who series by Lillian Jackson Braun (I love cats). It's a cozy murder mystery and it's just so cute and fuzzy and there are Siamese cats. It makes me happy :) I really want to read Patricia Wentworth! I love Miss Marple and feel like this would be right up my alley. I really enjoy your videos and may I say, you have an awesome taste in books! Happy Reading!

I love mysteries! I have yet to read the Sherlock Holmes books, though, I really need to get on that haha the Jane ones sound awesome, I love mystery books that are also historical fiction :) I have The Man Who was Thursday on my phone and have been meaning to get to it, after hearing how much you liked it, it makes me want to get to it sooner :D

I have only read 1 or 2 Peter Wimsey novels many years ago. To rectify this huge gap in my mystery reading, earlier today I ordered the first five novels in the series. Father Brown - I've only read I think 12 of the short stories and I must say my experience is totally opposite yours. I didn't like them very much; I prefer the TV series with Mark Williams as the title character.

I've heard that if the Oxford U lit. group The Inklings had been open to women, Dorothy Sayers, who was a friend to several of said group, would've probably been the first invited. And from what (limited) info I've gathered, she shared a similar outlook.

Q. How much did CS Lewis hmm heavily borrow from C'terton's Orthodoxy when writing Mere Xtianity? I felt that CSL shoulda used a whole bunch of footnotes citing C'terton's work. Lewis might retort that he was making a whole raft of allusions to C'terton. I feel the allusion claim can only go so far....
