So many people have posted negative comments on our dry pour concrete pad. Here is a quick update on the current condition of the pad. Also we wet pour some footings for exterior walls of the tractor shed. Stay tuned for our next video where we dig the footings for our off grid cabin.

Did a dry pour project for a grilling patio in Michigan last year it's still looking good. Plan on rounding up my nieces and nephews again for another dry pour project.

I'm convinced. This weekend I plan to dry pour a 10x10 shed floor.

Never mind these negative comments. These are folks who never done it, probably won’t and more likely jealous that you did it the right way. They may have done it wrong and their slab is all cracked up. I’m pretty sure someone will give me negative feedback on my comment. I don’t care. You don’t owe anyone any justification or explanation and for those like me who like to see good people do good work, I’m applauding you guys for a job well done. This is for you and your family no one else. Keep doing what you’re doing ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉

It doesn't matter if it was a wet or dry pour concrete job. Some people are gonna hate and add their 2 cents. It was a project that you and your wife did together. I think it looks damn good, and if I ever do it, I'm going to do it just like yall did.

I’ve done concrete for over 20 yrs, and as far as this not going to last, don’t worry, & pay no mind to the haters, this is absolutely fine, for what your using it for! God bless

It looks great. Dry pouring, I believe it is a good thing if you only use foot traffic and light equipment. Overall, dry pouring saves a lot of money and manpower. 👍💪❤️

Your DY pour looks great! I wish I had the ability to do the same! Honestly, I’m afraid to attempt a project like yours!

As for the negative comments, I wish people who live in glass houses would stop throwing stones.

Thank you for sharing your project result and for your review.

I agree with your assessment of the pad, except for driving on it. If you didn't put rebar in, I wouldn't drive on it. If you're going to use it for foot traffic and light storage, I'd absolutely be satisfied with the result. My only issue with the dry pour when I did them (mine were front walkway and back patio), the finish was not that good. By finish I mean the surface. I think in the long run, if someone is going to dry pour, the best use would be for light traffic and light storage. I would suggest wet pour if you want a smooth, more professional finish.

I did a dry pour slab and built a Rubbermaid shed on top of it. My neighbors concrete guy said it would do it for $1000. I saved $700 doing a dry pour. I have no doubts that I will last.

Have you powerwashed it? I did a large dry pour extended patio in sections. The bigger my sections were, the more issues I had with the surface forming blisters. When just trying to use a blower to blow dust off, sections of the top would just blow apart. It was even worse when I tried to spray it off with my water hose. I ended up patching every little problem spot and then resurfacing with quikrete recap. I used an interesting technique to give it a textured, slate tile like look. It actually turned out better than having regular looking concrete--it's like art!

I have no faith that the top of my dry pour would have held up without a resurfacing, but I appreciate that the method allowed me to basically do a whole 250 square foot patio project with just myself and my young son--having a concrete truck come out and trying to do it wet would have been asking way too much.

I just put poured 4 yards of concrete had a truck and a pump show up few friends helping out. It's not easy when have 3 who each have their own idea how to finish concrete. Trying to hit the timing just right was stressful. Truck load is $180 per yard here where I live bags cost about double can save money mixing your own with sand and gravel.

Can you have done a dry pour on the steppers as well ? I have a small part all around my house that I want to work on since the slab it has now has holes in it and water keeps seeping under the thoughts ?

Your pad looks great. The real question is would you go through the process of a dry pour again now that you know the amount of labor involved? Nicely done sir and great video

For a small area like that with nothing heavy driving on it should be fine i don't know if it gets really cold there that might effect it a little but you probably should put a saw cut across the middle.

From multiple test, dry pour is great for specific purposes (walkway, light shed, etc) wet pour best for drive ways and anything with heavy weights on it specially on the corners.
