I want to connect my Canon 5D Mark 2 to my MacBookPro (as a high quality webcam) and have ScreenFlow recognize the DSLR as a video source. Will the Epiphan work for that? (I already can get the DSLR into the Mac using Canon's EOS Utility 2 - but ScreenFlow doesn't recognize it.) Thanks.

I recently bought a laptop with an i7-7820HK, 16GB DDR4 2400Mhz RAM, GTX 1070 and 4K display. My question is the AV.io able to record my gameplay (ideally stream) using my laptops HDMI 2.0 port and one of my 4 USB 3.0 ports?
I know I can use software but I'd like to minimise use of resources. An answer would be highly appreciated.

this is great but some reviews state that you need a quality computer to be able to achieve the desired result here. so I doubt it will work with my i3 toshiba L50 laptop, i originally bought my laptop just for the purpose of job searching on the internet and it's years old, bought in like 2013
