When I was young and stupid (20) I loaned a girl I was dating some money...and then again a few weeks later... And a few weeks after that, with the understanding that it was a loan and she'd pay me back.
Then when I was out with her one day she bought something stupid and expensive right in front of me. I asked her why she could afford that but couldn't to pay me back. Got a blank stare. The next day she said she didn't want to date anymore.
Life lesson learned and I have never and will never lend/give money to a chick ever again. No matter the sob story they come up with lol

That's such a catch 22. Obviously if someone asks you to borrow money, they typically won't pay you back. If you offer them some money, that's different.
