Wow, that's awesome! I just hit a new personal best! 1.4 GKI

82 mg/dL and 3.1 mmol/L

This was eating one meal a day for the last month.


8AM: 1 oz MCT, coffee with half n' half and butter.
3:30: test
4PM: 3 handfuls of greens, olive oil, 6 oz steak, 5 eggs, 1 c. cottage cheese (so good I could eat a whole tub).

I'm honestly surprised you made the range with that much protein per day. I've been trying to get back under 1 for a bit and feel like if I overdo it on protein it just nukes my ketones.

I did a 4 day water fast last week and my lowest GKI was 0.5. (glucose 62 mm/dL, ketones 63 mmol/L)

Hi hi, In my eyes, balance is what it's all about.
A lifestyle that you can live normally on today, tomorrow, in a week and in a year.
I have been looking for this for years with the associated extremes.
I have found balance by combining OMAD fasting, meditation and Pranayama.
My glucose is stable between 4.5 and 5.0 mmol/l and my ketones between 3.0 and 3.5 mmol/l one hour before a meal.
In my eyes, far too little is said about the link between meditation, fasting and pramayama.
I call it the Western disease, where we only believe when it is scientifically proven or we copy something from an old philosophy and start at step 4.
Health is more than who can run the fastest or who has the lowest GKI. Pranayama provides stability on many fronts and meditation balances everything and you already know enough about fasting.
Sometimes people need a push in the right direction.
