Is it just me or does this feel like in the movies where the bad guys are taking advantage of an unfortunate situation to gain power and authority on a certain field that has the power to control the world?

i don't know about you guys but i would love to upgrade my immune system even if it's only temporary and take my chances with getting corona. a lot of our immune systems and treatments have gotten so advanced that something that was once deadly (the flu) now poses little threat to our lives, and I don't see the reason in dealing with this illness too differently. It would definitely suck for some time, but I'd say it's worth it in the long run. Opening might seem selfish, but I think that everyone should be given the choice to leave their house or not, take cautious measures or not; there are inevitably careless and ignorant humans in every event such as this pandemic, and some plans of action are unreasonable in how they are only ideal/viable in the absence of these people. I believe that rushing the development of a vaccine is both a fruitless and dangerous effort, and do not see a widely practical vaccine surfacing any time soon, but even if a proposed vaccination is successful in preventing corona, one has to account for the millions that will refuse to take it.
