I used to play a lot of AP Kaisa in ARAM because the W poke was so easy to land for the reduced CD.
I guess this totally makes sense. 1v1 instead of 2v2 makes isolated Q damage so much easier to land. R means that you can roam to river instantly. And, the fact that Kaisa is a weak laner is kind of irrelevant in mid when played into some mid match-ups that are more passive.

90% of champs can be played on mid, and Kaisa reminds me old midlane nidalee which was loved by faker as well
