Who remembers when Dayshawn and Nevaeh moved in one year ago? It’s such a bittersweet milestone in the world of Foster Care/Kinship Care. We feel honored that we’ve been able to watch them grow and thrive over the past year. It doesn’t seem like much to most people, but living in the same house and consistently going to the same school for an entire year IS something to acknowledge. They’ve worked hard to get caught up in all areas of life. We are so proud of them.

The school I went to for middle and part of high school had a thing where you could get a meal from the alley cart and it would cost as much as a regular meal would from the regular lunch line you couldn't get any of the candy or chips your had to get one of the hot foods and you got the salad bar and a milk or juice with it.
