There is a loud email notification in the middle of the video. I heard it a few times while I was editing and thought it was just my work computer. Sorry!

I’m in Bermuda now on a cruise. I’m in love with Hamilton. I’m from the East Coast. Philly to be exact. Bermuda is so expensive. Go 76ers

I absolutely fell in love with Bermuda. I’m from Canada and immediately felt the warmth of the Bermudians and the scenery was breathtaking. I’ve been to quite a few countries and Bermuda 🇧🇲 is almost at the top. I do agree with your criticism of public transit though. I ended up renting a scooter which was exhilarating but equally terrifying at the same time. I actually got tailgated a few times by public buses.

If you ever come to bermuda make sure you got a lot of money. You gone need it for just simple gas or to buy food

I’m from Bermuda and one of the things I hate about Bermuda is everytime I come back home, I see less and less Bermudian who were born on the island!

Omar, I had a few chuckles watching your video tonight. I am a Bermuda lover and just love traveling there. I have been there 30 somewhere around 32 times in my lifetime. I have not been there for 2 or 3 years and am hoping to get back later this year or possibly next year. I am alone when I travel and love staying in St. George's. Since I am alone, I just feel so comfortable and I love all the friendly people. I have been renting small apartments here and there in St. George's and love just walking around. I have made so many friends there during my travels. If I get back, it will be my last because I am getting to the age where it becomes more of a problem to get there than anything. I understand how it could be difficult to live there for the reasons you mentioned, but vacationing is fun and once you get used to the bus routes and ferry times, you can get anywhere. Of course, I am in no hurry when I visit. 😄

What a stunning vid, Omar!!! Btw, the Bermuda's accent is probably one of the most ear-pleasing EVER!!! I WOULD LIKE TO PAY YOU A VISIT ONE DAY, thanks for a highly professional footage and a very dynamic, positive ambiance. Your story is an eye opener for most of us, the non Bermuda résidents. Wishing you all the best from the piping hot arid Eilat.

I loved living in Bermuda, I was there for three years and I can't think of anything bad to say about it . . . Oh, there is one. When I moved there from Portugal, I purchased a new car, a beautiful little Honda CRX, that I had shipped there from England as part of the deal - this was in 1989. When I went to have it registered the Transportation Control Department (TCD) informed me that my car was one inch too wide to pass their inspection. I got a call from someone there at TCD who said they "knew a guy" who could help me. So, this other guy calls me up and tells me he can build a big wooden rig that will squeeze my car to reduce it one inch and it would only cost me $2000. Absolutely true story. I ended up selling the car to someone that was moving back to the U.S. . . . sigh.

Yes. Also let’s talk about the xenophobia. Although it isn’t seen in public it’s very much happening in bermuda. Plenty of xenophobia in work places and schools. Especially the King Edward hospital. A lot of the locals just aren’t nice and that’s the truth… Many locals i’ve met are extremely sweet as well and I love them with all my heart. But there’s really no need for the hate when we’re living on a small island.

My move to Bermuda is getting closer and what "scares" me the most is the "you can't disappear" thing! Not used to that at all!
Checking gyms in Bermuda online, I felt exactly what you just mentioned about having to choose between price/convenience/equipment. None of them seems to check all the boxes. Is there any blog/website/...with a gym comparison? Something like your video about the parishes.
The speed limit, horses in trails and public transportation problem seem to be very specific to Bermuda so I can't judge until I experience them firsthand!

I like the fact that you state these terrible things with a smile😁

Totally agree with you! No matter how much we complain, the people at the helm will ignore you unless you hold a prominent position in society or, you’re one of their BFF’s. In that regard, Bermuda absolutely sucks!

I remember using the busses in the early '90s, when I was stationed at the Naval base. We called the busses "pink elephants." They were inexpensive (we were able to by discounted tokens on base) and, as I recall, fairly reliable. I lived in St. George's and, even though I had a motorcycle, it was nice to relax on the bus during long trips, such as going to Hamilton. I don't remember ever having an issue with the busses during the two-years I lived there. I am sad to hear things have changed, as I want to visit again someday and had planned to use the bus for transportation.
