VP Harris and Gov. Tim Walz spent their first full day together on the campaign trail with two stops in the Midwest, and there was plenty of enthusiasm from supporters. The Morning Joe panel discusses the stops.

The rally was awesome. There were no weird "Buffalo guys", no diaper pants, no bandaid ears, no caricatures of the nominees. Regular citizens supporting the nominees. There was a positive message, joy was spread, the message was for the people. Real policy was talked about. So refreshing to not hear the anger that is regurgitated by the other side

I drove three hours from rural Wisconsin through more rural Wisconsin to take my 16-year-old daughter and her 15-year-old friend to the rally. They can’t vote yet, they don’t know where they stand on politics yet, but I wanted them to have the experience.

They loved Kamala and Tim’s energy. They loved the positive messaging. They loved the camaraderie with the other Democrats. It made an impression on them. I couldn’t have asked for a better rally to be there first.

And I felt like I was with my tribe. 💙💙💙

I was in that Detroit airport hangar yesterday-- well, standing half in sun and half in shade for hours and hours, but it didn't matter. Attendees were kind and respectful, helping one another. Harris and Walz are illuminanting the joy of kindness and community. Caring for each other lifts all boats.

Let me say: I am from Austria, a small country in the middle of Europe. I see so many positive feelings and reactions in the audience, people's enthusiasm - it's the complete opposite of Trump's inflammatory and negative speeches.
