On "EWTN News Nightly" tonight: History was made today as Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson became the 116th Supreme Court justice. She is the first Black woman to sit on the High Court. The confirmation vote came in at 53 to 47. And, the Biden Administration just announced new restrictions against 3 Russian airlines, that may bring some of their operations to a halt. The US is cutting off its exports to those 3 airlines, meaning they will not get parts from the US to service their aircrafts, making it hard to fly. Founder and president of Lopez Liberty LLC, Clare Lopez, joins to talk more about the US sanctions against Russia and how much of an impact she believes they will have on Russia and its resources. Meanwhile, in Nigeria, 3 Catholic priests were recently kidnapped, continuing a disturbing trend of violence against Christians. Student from the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, Fr. Matthew Eze, joins to give us an update on the priests who were kidnapped and also on the situation in general for Christians in Nigeria. Finally this evening, German Cardinal Reinhard Marx claimed the Catechism is not "set in stone" and that the Church should be more inclusive, when discussing homosexuality. Editor-in-chief of CNA Deutsch, AC Wimmer, joins to talk more about this comment from Cardinal Marx and the German Church's growing interest in changing the Catechism, specifically when it comes to sexuality.
