Systematic Inventive Thinking (SIT) is a method for innovation, problem solving, and creativity. It was developed in Israel in the 1990s and is based on Genrich Altshuller's TRIZ engineering discipline.
SIT uses five thinking patterns that have been used for thousands of years. These patterns are: Subtraction, Division, Multiplication, Task unification, Attribute dependency.
Here are some steps to apply SIT:
List all internal components of a product or service
Imagine what would happen if one component is removed
Visualize the result
Consider the potential benefits and added value
Determine if the new idea is feasible
